More information

T/5 Frank A. Delmonaco graduated from Woodward High School and was a tailor.

He enlisted in Cincinnati, Ohio on 5 June 1944.

One picture is a candid photo of Frank Delmonaco in his civilian occupation at the beginning of the war when clothing restrictions were implemented to save wool. the caption of the photo reads: "Gone Are Days of Pants Cuffs. Oh, so you had cuffs Monday! Not on a new suit you didn't. Men's trousers turned cuffless, in keeping with wartime rules to save cloth. Just to show how much fun it could be, Dick Williams, Post reporter, submitted his cuffs to Frank Delmonaco, Elm street tailor, for a fake operation."

His brother, T/Sgt Dominick Delmonico, is buried next to him. His name has been pronounced as Delmonico instead of Delmonaco.
