Sgt Larry J. Sperling attended high school for 3 years and was a engineer.He enlisted at Camp Blanding, Florida on 12 July 1943. He completed his qualifying jump as a paratrooper at the parachute school at Fort Benning, Georgia.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
