Pvt Stanley H. Tucker graduated from Roosevelt High School and was a welder for the Willamette Iron & Steel Corporation.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Portland, Oregon on 2 December 1942.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
