Pvt Lloyd L. Palmer Jr. enlisted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 7 July 1943 and was sent overseas August 1944.

He was previously listed as missing in action on 4 January 1945, in Belgium, but was found to be a patient in a hospital recuperating from a concussion and leg injuries. He rejoined his outfit 43 days later and was listed missing again on 24 March 1945.
