S/Sgt Robert W. Weeks joined the Coast Artillery Corps on 10 February 1941 in Park Rapids, Minnesota after serving in the National Guard.

He was taken prisoner on 4 Janaury 1945 in the vicinity of Morhet, Belgium and died in Stalag X-B.
S/Sgt Weeks is remembered at the Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids, Hubbard County, Minnesota with a memorial marker.
