Pfc Joe M. Rangel worked for the Electric Shoe Shop of Jesse Barrera in Corpus Christi before he enlisted in Fort Sam Houston, Texas on 30 March 1944 and went overseas in September 1944.His brother Fernando B. Rangel is buried at the American Cemetery of Margraten, the Netherlands in Plot P, Row 22, Grave 13.
