Pfc Francis N. Dempfle enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 12 February 1943.He was officially declared dead one day and one year after he was reported missing in action.
His body was recovered in 1976. He is buried at the Elmlawn Cemetery, Kenmore, Erie County, New York.
