Pfc Joseph J. Stone was a student at James Ford Rhodes High School and was employed at the Aluminum Company of America during vacations.He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 9 March 1944.
The entire family is listed with the last name of Kaminski in the 1930 US Census. Based on his brother's Social Security info, they changed it to Stone in 1938.
