Pfc Steve Urbanic enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 27 June 1944.

A former employe of the Canonsburg Steel & Iron Works, Pvt. Urbanic went overseas in December 1944. He left behind a wife and two children, Marlene, 9 and Wayne, 7.

He was first buried at Block I-4, Row 2, Grave 32.
