Pvt Robert J. Sheftic attended high school for 1 year and worked at Steel Improvement & Forge Company in mechanical treatment of metals.He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 21 October 1942.
The remains of Pvt Sheftic were found in Vossenack and initially registered as Unknown X-5390. He was evacuated to Ardennes Cemetery and could be identified at the research facilities there.
