Sgt Charles W. Vaughan enlisted in Fort Jackson Columbia, South Carolina on 5 October 1942.He attended high school for 2 years and was a sales clerk before he enlisted.
Sgt Vaughan behind enemy lines with his whole troop when he was shot in the face.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand Failly, France.
