Pfc James E. Brentlinger attended High View High School and was employed at the Curtiss-Wright Co.He enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 5 November 1942. He was sent overseas in July 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Limey, France.
His brother Arthur was wounded in action in the knee in Italy and was sent home.
