S/Sgt Ralph A. Barr enlisted in Houston, Texas on 26 January 1943.He attended high school for 4 years and was a mail carrier before he enlisted. He was killed by an enemy grenade when he went to a window thinking it was the enemy who wanted to surrender.
S/Sgt Barr was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Limey, France.
