Pvt Eugene O. Clark enlisted in Jefferson Barracks, Missouri on 13 May 1943.The squad was to run about 15 yards to a nearby house for cover. Pvt. Clark ran passed the door of the house before he realized it. When he stopped at his sergeant's yell, a sniper killed him just outside the door.
Pvt Clark was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Limey, France.
