Pfc Sherwin W. Olsen attended high school for four years and worked on a farm before he enlisted in Salt Lake City, Utah on 4 April 1943.
He was officially declared dead one year and one day after he was reported missing in action. At that time his unit was fighting in Landscheid.
He is remembered at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery in Pleasant Grove, Utah County, Utah.
