Pfc Richard A. Meech enlisted in Rochester, New York on 21 August 1943.

Pfc Meech, who served with an anti-tank unit, was graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland and from Oberlin College. He worked at the Consolidated Machine Tool Co., Rochester, New York. He has been fighting overseas since the early days of the invasion.
