1st Lt Eric M. Black was a landscape laborer.He enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 22 January 1941, was commissioned on 13 May 1943 and was sent overseas in October 1943.
He served with the 28th Division since it landed in Normandy on 22 July 1944.
