Pvt Ray E. Myers enlisted in Binghamton, New York on 20 February 1943.

He attended high school for 4 years and was a paymaster before he enlisted.

He graduated from Norwich High School in 1941 and was previous to his entrance in the armed forces he was employed by the Victory Chain Co. of Norwich and the Lane Construction Co.
