Pvt James W. Mc Creary graduated from East Nashville High school and was an employee of the N.C. and St. L. Railway.He enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 6 July 1943. He was sent overseas in January 1944.
Pvt Mc Creary was stationed with Army General Headquarters in England for nine months. He was then sent to France where he received medical aid training.
