Herbert Rosier was a clerk before he joined the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in Syracuse, New York. He was later transferred to the infantry.The soldier on the left is Herb Rosier with his dear friend and foxhole buddy William R. Nolan. Pfc Rosier was hit by machinegun fire just before they liberated Zundert and died of his wounds.
