Pfc Ryal G. Stone enlisted in Fort Dix, New Jersey on 29 February 1944 and landed in England in August of that year. He was in active service for five and a half months and was awarded the Infantry Combat Badge. He was a machinist before he enlisted.
He also was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy.
Pfc Stone was killed by a sniper.
