Pvt Joseph V. Strunk enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 10 December 1943.He attended high school for 2 years and was a retail manager for Tom McAnn shoe store.
Pvt Strunk was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Limey, France.
He changed his name from Zdunek to Strunk with his naturalization.
