Sgt Everett L. Corbin was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Limey, France.He was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously. The citation cited: On 2 December, 1944, in fierce house to house fighting, Sgt Corbin encountered an enemy machinegun and anti-tank gun whose crews were running toward their weapons. Firing quickly and accurately on the Germans, Sgt Corbin prevented them from reaching their weapons until his comrades arrived to help him knock out both hostile guns.
