Pfc Harry C. Gray II attended high school for one year and was a fireman and was employed in the city gas department and on off-duty hours he also worked as a life guard at the Spa Beach before he enlisted at Camp Blanding, Florida on 22 July 1944.He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his head.
