T/5 David B. Bromley graduated from Spencerport High School and was a retail manager before he enlisted in Rochester, New York on 10 November 1943. He was sent overseas in August 1944.He was wounded in action in France on 22 November 1944 and died in a field hospital to the effects of artillery shell fragments the same day.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
