Pvt Raymond F. Witowski attended high school for one year and was a mechanic before he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 18 November 1943.
He was reported missing in action on 8 November when A Company crossed the Seille River and took hill 207 suffering heavy casualties.
