Pvt Billie N. Willard was an employer of the Brown and Williamson Tabacco Co. before he enlisted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on 18 March 1944.He was reported severely wounded in action on 10 November and evacuated to the a Medical Battalion Clearing station. At that time his company was engaged in the fighting for the city of Luppy, France.
