Cpl Leon L. Allen attended high school for three years and was a financial clerk at Spencer Trask & Company.He enlisted in Albany, New York on 13 November 1943.
He was reported missing in action on 27 September when A Company was in position ½ mile north of Morey. The enemy made a counter attack and the company held position but later withdrew to a position ½ mile south of Morey.
