Pfc Eugene T. Potrykus attended high school for one year and was employed at Quality Biscuit Co. He enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 10 December 1942.

He was reported missing in action on 11 September when C Company was holding defensive positions in the vicinity of Pont-à-Mousson.
