Pvt John D. Blair attended 3 years of high school and was a shipping clerk before he enlisted in Erie, Pennsylvania on 27 August 1943.He was reported seriously wounded in action in the vicinity of Bratte, France on 11 October and brought to a hospital where he died of his wounds.
