Pfc Jack L. Campbell Sr. attended 4 years at the technical high school and was a compositor at the Ohama Printing Company before he enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 13 March 1944He was sent overseas in September 1944.
He was reported seriously wounded in action on 10 October and brought to the 16th Field Hospital where he died of his wounds.
On 10 October, C Company was holding defensive positions one mile east of Bratte.
