Pfc Leonard C. Warchol was employed at the Bohn Aluminium and Brass Corporation.

He was killed during the crossing of the Moselle River near Saint-Nabord at a point called Noir Gueux.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Saint-Juan, France.
