S/Sgt Bonifacio A. Marques worked on a farm before he enlisted in Santa Fe, New Mexico on 9 October 1943.He was wounded in Germany on 3 May 1945 and died in a general hospital near Solers, France to the effects of a bullet to the head.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Solers, France.
