Pvt Thomas F. Smith graduated from the Waverly Senior High School and was employed at the Randolph Service station and the Ingersoll-Rand plant before he enlisted in Binghamton, New York on 30 December 1943. he was sent overseas in June 1944.He died from artillery shell fragments.
