Pvt William M. Hamann graduated from Elkhorn High school in 1940 and was a farmer.He enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 22 June 1944 and was sent overseas on 11 December 1944.
He was killed shortly after returning to duty after being hospitalized for wounds he had sustained on 9 February 1945.
