More information

Pfc Eugene C. Carter enlisted at Camp Lee, Virginia on 6 June 1941.

He attended the Church Farm School for boys outside of Philadelphia, Pa. He was a member of the class of 1934. He was 1 of 5 boys from this tiny boarding school who made the ultimate sacrifice during WWII. There is a brass plaque on an inside wall of the school's chapel to remember him and he is also featured with his picture and a brief biography in the school's Alumni Hall with other heroes who died in line of duty.

The picture was taken in high school in 1934.
