Capt Ira T. Miller graduated from Coshocton High School and attended the Ohio State University and the Wittenberg College in Springfield for one year.He enlisted at Fort Hayes, Columbus on 13 November 1941 and attended the Officers Training School at Fort Benning, Georgia after he became an instructor at Camp Forrest in Tennessee.
He was wounded in action two times, the first time on 5 September 1944 and the second time on 21 January 1945 when his unit left Ringel to attack Bourscheid, Luxembourg. He died seven days later.
