2nd Lt Henry R. Walker graduated from the Mercy Academy with Salutatorian Honors.He joined the National Guard in Marshall, Saline County, Missouri on 23 December 1940.
He was reported lightly wounded in action and brought to an unknown hospital on 26 September. At that time E Company seized and held a position in the vicinity of Lyer, France.
