T/5 John J. Rutkowski attended high school for two years and worked as a general industry clerk.He enlisted in Albany, New York on 9 November 1943.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his buttock and hip.
His parents were born in Poland, but it is unknown if his parents emigrated to the United States.
