T/5 Ralph W. Campion graduated from Lincoln High School and was employed at the Ford Rouge and Willow Plants before he enlisted on 19 March 1943. He was sent overseas in July 1944.

He died of wounds received the previous day.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Champigneul, France.
