Pvt Joseph J. Addabbo was employed at the Frazer and Jones Company in Solvay, New York before he enlisted in Syracuse, New York on 13 March 1943.He was killed while crossing the Moselle River near Thionville, France.
He was officially declared dead one year and one day after he was reported missing in action.
Joseph's remains were found in 1962 and he was interred at the Saint Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse, New York. A rosette was placed next to his name at the Tablets of the Missing at Luxembourg Cemetery to signify that his remains were recovered.
