More information

Pvt George D. Coulter served as a policeman for the Grand Rapids Police Department since 26 March 1941.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Champigneul, France.

Note: His gravestone and the ABMC database state that his regiment was part of the 82nd Airborne Division. However, this is a mistake. The 507th was only attached to the 82nd for the period from 14 June 1944, to 27 August 1944, but was never assigned to the Division and was therefore never an organic part of it.
