S/SGt Karl H. Metz graduated from Coshocton High School in 1930.He enlisted on 27 July 1943 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri and was sent overseas in March 1944.
S/Sgt Karl Metz joined his unit from a replacement depot on 13 June 1944. He was lightly wounded in action in Normandy on 17 June 1944 and seriously wounded on 25 February in action at Welldorf, Germany.
