Merchant Seaman Clemie Cappibianco arrived in Bremen, Germany on 17 June 1946 and was reported as missing from the ship on 21 June. The vessel departed from Bremen on 25 June, bound for New York and the seaman´s body was not discovered until 28 June near Berth 15A in Uebersee Hafen in Bremen at 09:00.Autopsy performed at U.S. Army 121st General Hospital, Bremerhaven, found the approximate date of death to be 21 June 1946 and also indicated that there had been no foul play connected with his death. He was first buried at the ceùetery of Bremen-Osterholz cemetery.
