More information

Pvt Francis L. Burgess attended college for 1 year and was a production worker.
In 1930 he was an inmate at the Alabama Bays Industrial School and in 1940 in the Atmore State Prison.
He was reported lightly wounded in action in the vicinity of Mont St. Jean, France and evacuated to the 35th Medical Battalion Evacuation station on 9 October. He died of his wounds in the 101th Evacuation Hospital.
