More information

Pvt Thomas L. Walters graduated from North High School and attended Franklin University to become a sportscaster.

Two pictures were taken as the family left for the train station to send young Thomas to boot camp.

It wasn't the last time his family saw him. His younger brother, Karl, was a trainspotter and was doing what he liked most. A train came in and stopped for a few minutes with Pvt Walters on board. The windows wouldn't come down so they just put their hands 'together' on the window.
