Pfc Clarence E. Allen attended South Junior High School and was employed by the Woodruff Hotel.He enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 1 April 1944. He went overseas in November 1944.
His last letter received by his family was written on 18 February 1945 in which he described living in foxholes with big 88 shells going over his head.
The cause of death was a gunshot wound in his abdomen.
