Pfc Joe T. Zhanel worked with his father on the family farm.He enlisted on 28 June 1943 at Dallas, Texas.
He was lightly wounded in action on 29 June and 28 August 1944. He was seriously wounded in action on 24 February 1945 and died the next day.
