Pfc Donald Weis attended North High School and Dunwoody institute and was employed by the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

He enlisted on 11 August 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 17 July 1944 and was promoted to Private First Class on 23 September 1944.

He was seriously wounded in action on 17 November 1944 and died the same day.
