Pfc Denver W. Whittington attended high school for 1 year and was employed at the Fairfield Paper Company in Beltimore. He enlisted in Columbus, Ohio on 24 July 1943. After training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, he went overseas on 4 January 1944.He worked on a farm before he enlisted.
Pfc Denver W. Whittington was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium.
